Facebook users in Thailand reported experiencing a brief disruption in accessing the world’s largest social media network around 8.30am on Tuesday. The service was back online shortly before 9am, but there was a stream of posts on Twitter asking about Facebook accessibility in Thailand. A Facebook representative in Thailand issued a statement admitting there was a brief outage, without giving any clear details why. The statement said, “Earlier today, some Facebook users were unable to access Facebook briefly due to a technical issue. National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission secretary-general Takorn Tantasith said the Facebook disruption on Tuesday morning did not involve any action or blockage by Thai authorities.
